Sampling of Multiple Variables Based on Partially Ordered Set Theory
We introduce a new method for ranked set sampling with multiple criteria. The method relaxes the restriction of selecting just one individual variable from each ranked set. Under the new method for ranking, units are ranked in sets based on linear extensions in partially order set theory with considering all variables simultaneously. Results willbe evaluated by a relatively extensive simulation...
Soft Linear Set Theory
A formulation of naive set theory is given in Lafont’s Soft Linear Logic, a logic with polynomial time cut-elimination. We demonstrate that the provably total functions of this set theory are precisely the PTIME functions. A novelty of this approach is the representation of the unary/binary natural numbers by two distinct sets (the safe naturals and the soft naturals).

In this paper, we derive the asymptotic distributions of the characteristic roots in multivariate linear models when the dimension p and the sample size n are large. The results are given for the case that the population characteristic roots have multiplicities greater than unity, and their orders are O(np) or O(n). Next, similar results are given for the asymptotic distributions of the canonic...
Set Theory in Linear Algebra
Set theory language is an essential prerequisite for the cognition of linear algebra concepts. Many difficulties of cognition in linear algebra may be explained by the lack of mastery of set theory concepts. In the paper, an in depth discussion of documented categories of difficulties originated from set theory is provided.
